Day 1: Garlic Galore!

For Day 1, I decided to start with some pictures from one of the farms where I am responsible for ensuring everything is well-irrigated, weeded, and pruned. This farm produces vegetables and herbs for Lucile's Restaurant in Boulder. Today was the first harvest day for garlic. I picked all of these cloves of garlic, so I wanted to show them off!
Protip: Visit Lucile's in Boulder TODAY and enjoy some delicious fresh garlic and zucchini! ;)

This second picture is one my mom took of me enjoying the smell of victory from all that delicious garlic.

Hmmm, this is actually a nice picture: the texture is great, and I like how the brightest light falls one the garlic in the center. Very nice job on that, it keeps the focus there, as it should be in a close-up like this. Also, it's good that the background is visible a bit, enough to give some depth and add more color, but not too much so as to "take over." Finally, it also paid to include the instrument - it gives the shot some variety and provides the eye with a different texture.

Keep it up!
